RESOURCES I USED TO BUILD THIS WEBSITE

I received some questions from people interested in building their DIY website. Please, know that there are many ways to do it, for example you could use a free template generator or make your own site from scratch. I went for the latter option with the help of these resources:

Things I would do differently now

I've been using this website for weeks now, and I now have a clearer idea of what I want from it. Since I am sure I will build another website or an improved version of this space in the future, I am listing what I'd do differently if I were to build it from scratch again.

  1. make sure my CSS file works as expected before going on with the site design.

Up until recently, I didn't use a CSS styling page to manage the design of this website. I initially created a separate CSS file and added it to the pages, but something would not work as expected. So, I decided I could do without, even if it meant adjusting the CSS directly on each page.

While not a big deal, not having a CSS did make things more time-consuming, particularly as I added new pages and tweaked the site.

Eventually, I figured out how to add the CSS page without ruining what I'd done so far! I can now change some features without having to edit every single page. Problem solved!
